Our goal is to support our team and achieve success by earning as many Varsity swimming and diving points as possible at each meet. Diving is scored as one event in a meet.
The goal for each diver is to have a complete and safe 6 dive list for every dual meet. Divers can qualify for championship meets by having 11 dives that represent the necessary categories (the Conference and Section Meets are 11 dive meets). Throughout the season, divers will learn the forward and backward approach, as well as dives in the following categories: Forward, Backward, Inward, Reverse and Twisting Dives. Voluntary categories rotate each week.

New divers, in 7th & 8th grade divers need to have a minimum of 3 safe dives by before the date communicated by coaches or at the discretion of the coaches, while working towards a full 6 dive list to compete at the Junior Varsity level. In order to do this, they will need to do all required dives and have a safe 6 dive list that can be scored.
9-12th grade divers need to have a minimum of 6 safe dives, in all 5 categories that can be scored by the date communicated by coaches or at the discretion of the coaches, while working towards a full 11 dive list.
Varsity and Junior Varsity divers should start the season with their 6 dive list and continue to work towards developing their 11 dives for the championship season. Diving participation is at the discretion of the coaches and not guaranteeed just because an athlete wants to dive.
Diving is one of twelve events and divers are expected to swim and dive at the discretion of the coaches.
