Outside the Classroom

Outside of the classroom, I live a big, beautiful life. We live at the Jersey Shore, about 10 minutes from the beach. We spend most mornings soaking up the sun's rays next to the rolling waves, and afternoons adventuring with friends. I homeschool both of my older kids full-time, which is definitely a learning experience for all of us! My husband and I love to travel, and now that our Twins are getting older, we hope to include the children in our travels very soon.

Although I do love to adventure, I also very much love being at home. We have created a beautiful backyard that we love spending time together in as a family. I started gardening in the past few years, and every year I love to see what I can grow for my family to consume. There is something so magical about watching something you plant with your hands blossom into something edible! On top of working in the garden, I also raise chickens. Backyard chickens have been an obsession of mine for over 10 years! My mother and I also have a few horses, and my oldest, Lilly, rides competitively now, just like I did when I was her age.

I have a passion for creating things with my hands and am always interested in learning something new. My current hobby is baking all things sourdough. I often find myself kneading bread with my headphones in listening in on live conferences. I love a good book, a hot cup of coffee, and being surrounding by those I love.
