Materials required for class (everyday)

• Instrument (is always out even if you can't play due to illness, etc.) and accessories (reeds)

• Your black binder 

  • • Name is on the outside spine for everyone to know it is your binder

    • Do not put your music in other student's binder, you are required to have your own

• Pencil

Concert Season Uniforms

For the December, March, and May concerts our uniform will be different from the Marching season. It is as follows:

Plain Black Dress Shoes (or Dinkles), Socks, Belt

Tie is optional. 

From shoulders to toe (including legs), you should be dressed in nice, black clothing.

The purpose of this concert dress is so the focus is not on attire during the concert but the sound you are producing.  We are to all match, and look professional.  Jeans, t-shirts, or sneakers are not allowed.  You will be graded on your concert uniform in the same manner of your marching uniform.  The concert uniform is not supplied by the program.  You must own these items personally. 

Band Concert Policy

• Arrive in Concert Black

  • • Concert Black

      • • plain BLACK dress shirt (not grey), dress pants, belt, dress shoes, and socks

        • NO other options

• When you arrive, go to the gym to see what still needs to be set up. 

  • • • • Band chairs to stage

        • Music stands to stage

        • Assist custodial staff

        • Assist Booster volunteers

• After we are set up, go get your instrument and wait in the Band room

  • • • • Jazz Band, make sure all jazz equipment is in the wings of the stage

• Tune and group warm up in the Band Room

• Report to your designated area for the start of the concert 

• Concert begins

  • • • • If you are not on stage, you are expected to be courteous, silent, and attentive to those performing on stage.  Any other types of behavior are not acceptable. (Audience Etiquette)

        • When ensembles switch, allow the Band on stage to leave first and wait for Crayton or stage crew to have you come on stage.  

• After the concert

  • • • • Everyone is expected to stay and help clean up.

          • • Gym tear down

              • • Rack chairs from the basketball court

                • Take band chairs back to the band room

                • All percussion back to the band room

                • All music stands racked and taken back to the band room
