All meets are required events for all members eligible for that meet
Athletes are expected to stay until the end of the meet to support teammates
Athletes are expected to travel to and from away meets in accordance with Midland ISD Athletic policies unless an appropriate parent travel form has been approved by your principal 24 hours PRIOR to departure.
Absence from a meet without completion of the Meet Absence Form may result in dismissal from the team. In case of last minute emergency, a coach must be contacted prior to departure and a valid note must be provided to the coaches upon return to practice.
Athletes are expected to wear team uniform (team shirt, warm-up jacket, jeans, tennis shoes) at away meets while not at the pool or on the bus (i.e. hotel, restaurants). No tank tops, flip flips, sweats, house shoes, etc. will be allowed.
Athletes may not sit with a member of the opposite sex on the bus.
No one may be in the room of an opposite sex at a hotel. Athletes may meet together in public spaces but must act appropriately (no PDA).
Extreme and/or continuous disciplinary issues both at practice and at school may result in probation or permanent expulsion from the team on a case-by-case basis
Athletes are expected to represent Midland ISD Swimming & Diving appropriately. You are expected to be respectful and considerate to all meet, non-meet, hotel, and restaurant staffs.
Athletes are expected to behave at all times. Prohibited behavior includes but is not limited to: swearing, throwing things, excessive yelling, etc.
Any disruption or vandalism that occurs at a hotel, meet site, restaurant, or on the bus will result in immediate suspension from the team until such time a meeting can be called with the school principal, athletic director, coach, parent(s), and athlete(s). This includes but is not limited to: vandalism, horseplay, theft, vulgar language, fighting, taunting, etc. Vandalism or theft will be paid in full by the individual(s) responsible.
Swimmers must follow all travel protocols laid out in the Midland ISD Athletic Handbook.
Athletes will be expected to represent themselves, their team, and their school appropriately at all times. Any disciplinary action leveled against a student by meet officials may also result disciplinary action at the team and/or school level.
Athletes will travel in the team uniform: warm-up jacket, team shirt, jeans, tennis shoes. This will be worn to all restaurants and other locations.
Athletes will use the provided MISD team bags and attire for travel & meet purposes. Non-MISD issued bags, attire, suits, and caps are not permitted at UIL meets.
In accordance with UIL policy, athletes may only wear caps & suits that have their school logo/name.
Medalists will wear their team warm-up jacket to the podium.

Travel Day - Any shirt representing your school with jeans & tennis shoes
Anytime we are traveling we will wear jeans and tennis shoes. When going to/from the hotel and the pool you are free to wear your team warm-ups with tennis shoes. We will always travel wearing warm-up jackets and/or letter jackets. Hoodies are not allowed when going out in public during travel trips.
While on the bus, girls may only sit on the girls side with other girls and boys may only sit on the boys side with other boys. If room permits, an athlete may occupy a single seat by seniority.
All athletes will check their rooms when first entering and report any problems to a coach immediately. Things to look for include: broken windows, broken lamps, broken mirrors, burn marks, etc.
Athletes will remain appropriately dressed (shirt, pants, shoes) when moving around the hotel. They are not to wander the halls wearing only a swim suit.
Athletes are not allowed to enter the room of the opposite sex. Opposite genders may meet in public areas only (no PDA).
All cell phones will be turned into the coaches room prior to room checks.
ANY ATHLETE NOT FOLLOWING THESE POLICIES WILL BE SENT HOME AT THEIR PARENT'S EXPENSE ON A PUBLIC BUS
