There are a bunch of different Genres to read about. All are interesting and very different from one another. In this article, I will suggest some books for realistic fiction, historical fiction, and graphic novels

First Up- are GRAPHIC NOVELS

A good 'quick read' is All's Faire In Middle School by Victoria Jamieson- This book is a great book with a good plot. Here is a little background information, Imogene's family works at a renaissance fair. Imogene has recently turned 11 which means she gets promoted at the fair, and she gets to go to middle school. (Imogene has been homeschooled since she has started school). But she doesn't quite understand how to be popular or even how school really works. Imogene gets pressured into doing a few things she doesn't agree with and everything goes downhill from there.

The second book is Ghosts by Riana Telgemeire- This book is a fun read, but with a few unexpected turns. This book is an interesting book to read and different from her other books. She is also the author of Guts, The Babysitter's Club, Sisters, Smile, Drama, and a bunch of other fantastic graphic novels.

New kid, by Jerry Craft- This is a great book and it even may be relatable for some. Jordan is just moving to a new school, but there are very few people of color, the only people of color are Jordan, and also a new kid named Drew, and Mori. Jordan faces struggles that every kid faces when coming to a new school and by reading this you can see a little more into Jordan's Life.

Class Act, by Jerry Craft- This book is the same as New Kid but you will see Drew's point of view.

HISTORICAL FICTION-

Number The Stars, by Lois Lowry. This book is a fantastic book about the holocaust. Two friends are trying to protect and help their families. They are brave and they will do anything to protect their family's.

I Survived (Series) by Lauren Tarshis. These are books that are all about just a bunch of historical events throughout time. And even some natural disasters. Some books are I Survived the Shark Attack of 1916, I Survived The Japanese Tsunami, I survived the Nazi invasion and so many others. If you're interested in any of these, certainly check out the rest of the books

REALISTIC FICTION

Still A Work In Progress By Jo Knowles, This book is a good read it's a little more serious in some parts but it's still good. This book is about a boy named Noah whose sister is worried about what people think about her, so she eats close to nothing and whatever she does eat she makes herself throw up. She eventually gets sent to the hospital because of it. Besides that Noah lives a normal middle school life and deals with his own problems.

Thank you for reading this and I hope you consider checking these books out.
