Nurseries

Middlefield Community Project offers a variety of Early Learning and Childcare opportunities for children aged 2-5.

Fee Paying Nursery

Our fee paying nursery is for children aged between 2-5 years. It is open to families throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Ideal for working parents or parents attending college.

Nursery is open 50 weeks 8am- 5.00pm

Sessions are all day 8-5.00pm, AM 8-1PM/PM 1-5.00pm

Funded Spaces

We offer early learning and childcare funded spaces to children aged between 3- 5 years who live within our catchment area. As of August 2021 this will be for 1140 hours over a year.

Option 1 There is the option to have the full 30 hours each week term-time (38 weeks).  Either:

·         8:30 – 2:30 Mon–Fri  (lunch provided)

·         10:00 – 4:00 Mon-Fri  (lunch provided)

For some parents, if there is a particular need (e.g. work commitments) we are happy to vary the timing of those sessions slightly e.g. 8-2 or 9:30 – 3:30

Option 2

For families that want consistency for their children to attend nursery over 50 weeks we can offer:

·         Shorter term-time sessions e.g. 8:30-1:45 or 10-3:15 over 38 weeks (lunch provided)

·         3 sessions during the school holiday weeks, either 8:30-1:15 or 12-4:45 (lunch provided)

School Holidays include Easter/Summer and October

Option 3

For parents that are working or attending college, we can spread the nursery hours over part or full days.  For example:

·         8am -1pm

·         8am – 5:00pm

·         1pm – 5:00 pm

This can be over term time (38 weeks) or the full year (50 weeks).

ADDITIONAL HOURS

If parents require their child to attend nursery more than 30 hours per week, they can top- up and pay for additional hours.  Parents are charged an hourly rate for extra hours funded children (£5.80 per hour) and 2-3 year olds (£6.40 per hour)

Any additional hours need to either be in a regular pattern each week or booked with advanced notice.  (Not a drop in service).
