Interested in Your Own Story?

Then why not come along to a Local History group in Middlefield.

We aim to restart this soon, please contact the project for details

Meetings are informal and friendly. Everyone is welcome to speak and contribute, because we all have ideas about our city and the surrounding region.

Topics may include:

  • Our unique and beautiful granite buildings.
  • Our achievements in industry, such as building the first ships in the Japanese Navy and the fastest sailing ship ever.
  • Kenspeckle local characters, including some we may have known personally.
  • Some things we are sad to have lost, like our trams.
  • We will not forget about the present and the future. History does not stop!

These classes are provided FREE by the Workers’ Educational Association through Aberdeen City Council funding and supported by Middlefield Community Project.

Courses aren't running at the moment but if you are interested give us a call on
