Silvia Cantu Bautista (she/her) is currently studying an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in MSc. Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at Central European University (Austria), University of the Aegean (Greece), and Lund University (Sweden). Silvia is a graduate of Middlebury College with a degree in Political Science with a focus on International Environmental Policy. She is a mentor for The Climate Reality Project, a Peace Boat Youth Ambassador for the SDGs, and a Young Ocean Leader at the Sustainable Ocean Alliance. She is also a certified scuba diver and a professional photographer, passionate about climate justice activism and visual storytelling. In 2021, Silvia joined the Mexican Delegation as a negotiator for the tracks of Global Stocktake and Second Periodic Review during COP26 in Glasgow. Silvia has extensive experience working in project management positions in the municipal public sector and in national and international civil society organizations in the areas of climate justice, sustainable urban development, and environmental conservation.
Emily Sun is an urban planner at NYC Department of City Planning (DCP). Her current role within the Climate and Sustainability Planning Division includes neighborhood-scale resiliency planning, city-wide policy analysis and development, the administration of the City’s Coastal Zone Management Program, and the integration of new data sources into the Department’s planning processes. Prior to joining DCP, Emily was a community planning fellow with the Fund for the City of New York and worked in private sector planning as a consultant at James Lima Associates and HR&A Advisors. She received her Master’s degree in Urban Planning from NYU in 2022 and Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Middlebury College in 2018.
