Maths- week 2

Mrs P's challenge - Create a blueprint of your home

A blueprint is a design plan/ drawing from a birds eye view of something. Click on the picture to open it up bigger so you can read it. This is also on both Room 6 and 7's Google Classrooms.

Math Tasks

Two challenges for you to get started with.

  1. Sudoku

  2. Times tables (multiplication) - Go to www.timestables.co.nz and play some of the fun games: drive a car, ride a horse or make Happy Burgers. These are great games to learn your times tables. Don't forget to collect your coins!

Once you have done these ones, you might make up your own numbers and play again! See if you can complete the number challenges alone, or find someone at home to play too!

Sudoku - Here are some new ones for this week

Copy this sudoku on to a piece of lined paper and have a go. Each little square has one number in it. Each set of nine squares must have each number 1-9 in it once. Each horizontal row must have each number 1-9 only once, and each vertical column must have each number 1-9 only once. The one on the left is easy, the one on the right is more challenging.

If you need to learn how, here are the instructions: https://masteringsudoku.com/sudoku-rules-beginners/

Have go and get better at algebraic thinking with this maths game!

Room 7 - Practice what you have been learning at school here. Contact Whaea B if you cannot log in, or if your work is too easy, or too hard.

Learn (and practice) the times tables here!

Practice basic facts at your own level here.
