RF VERTEBROPLASTY

VERTEBROPLASTY

This is a sterile procedure. Wear mask and hair bonnet. Wipe down room pre-procedure.

• II cover (Will need two. One is already in tray)

• 10 cc syringe

• 22 G spinal needle

• Vertebroplasty kit

• Vertebroplasty cement kit

• Marcaine

• Lidocaine

• Sodium bicarb

• Sterile mallet (nurses)

• Telfa Barrier Island dressing (4" x 6")

• No extra DuraPrep needed. One comes in the kit.

• Pour cement powder into mixer so doctor only has to pour liquid in.

• It is also helpful to hook the tubing onto the mixer

• Nurse will bring back patient to prep for procedure and consent

• When ready, place patient prone on table.

* Start timing when liquid is poured into powder mixture.
