French Horn, Baritone, and Tuba Information
French Horn and Baritone Information
There are a limited number of French Horns and Baritones owned by Miamisburg City Schools. We make every attempt to provide your child with a school owned instrument.
In the event that your child is not issued a school instrument you will need to secure your child’s instrument through a music dealer. You will be notified well in advance of needing the instrument if you are receiving a school instrument or if you will need to rent one.
Students who play the baritone may not be able to take the instrument on the bus. Many of the buses are at capacity. The instrument is large, and there is a chance that you may need to provide transportation to and from school on band days if your child plays the baritone.
In the event that your child is issued a school owned French Horn or Baritone please read the following requirements:
You will be paying a $75.00 per year rental fee to the school to cover the maintenance plan on the instrument.

You will need to provide rotor oil (French Horn) or valve oil (Baritone) for your child’s instrument
You will need to provide a mouthpiece brush for your child’s instrument
