I am a fourth-year Biochemistry, Pre-Med, and Individualized Studies major. This project has served as my Senior Project for my Individualized Studies major.

I have been inspired by the experiences of women in my life, particularly how healthcare disparities present gaps in the proper line of care. 

Some of the things I have learnt are 

💬Communication: Being able to explain complex scientific ideas in an easily digestible form for public understanding is an essential part of my research. Being able to balance both ends of that was challenging, but fun to adapt. 

🕊️Equity and Inclusion: Focusing on Women's health emphasized the gaps that exist in our current understanding of these conditions. 

🧠Critical Thinking: With research reflective of the times we are living in, it was important to keep up with new trends and genuine criticism of the system.
