Here are summaries for each of the bills we are currently opposing. They are each in the Ohio House of Representatives and have yet to be voted on as of now. If you can, please read the full bills, as they are not particularly long and contain most of the details in the first few pages. If you are unable to do so, these summaries contain most of the prohibitions described in each bill

Prohibits:
Discussions or materials about sexual orientation or gender identity in grades K-3
Teaching or providing materials about sexual orientation or gender that is not "age appropriate" in grades 4-12
Teachers receiving education or renewing licensure for anything involving "inherently racist concepts" including (but not limited to) critical race theory, the 1619 project, and diversity, equity, and inclusion learning outcomes
Prohibits:
Gender transition procedures for those under 18, meaning any medical or surgical services or prescriptions related to gender transition
Nurses, counselors, teachers or staff in public or private schools from withholding information about a student's gender or sexuality or encouraging a student to keep their identities a secret from their guardians
Insurance reimbursement for gender transition procedures
Prohibits:
Being on a gendered sports team that does not match your sex assigned at birth at any institution that regulates interscholastic sports competitions (including universities)
Taking action against a school for having students on gendered sports teams that do not match their sex assigned at birth
Any retaliation, including legal, against an individual who reports a violation of this act
ALSO NOTE: if the sex of a student is disputed, it must be validated by a physician based on internal or external reproductive anatomy, normal endogenously (naturally) produced hormone levels, or a genetic analysis
