Professionalism, Teamwork, Critical thinking, and Communication

This was my first time working in a lab, learning to ask questions when necessary but attempt to problem solve individually and learning how to communicate respectfully and throughouly with my mentors was a big part of my first semester on this team.  Being a poster presenter requires professionalism, intellect, clear communication and the ability to answer questions on the spot utilizing critical thinking. All of these competencies are prevelant in the research sphere and necessary for a successful career as well as personal life.
