Elevate Mentor Expectations

At Elevate, we take pride in what we do. We are greatly passionate about the work we do and have committed to providing great values for students. As a mentor to a young future professional on the Elevate program, we expect the following from our mentors:

Mentor Profile:

• Early to Mid-level professional with up to 6 years of relevant work experience.

• Someone of exemplary character worth emulating

• Possess leadership skills

• Willing to mentor and transmit his experiences with other young professionals

• Experience mentoring others will be an added advantage

• Experience on a professional development or graduate scheme will be an added advantage

• Familiarity and ability to exploit modern communication tools and social media (LinkedIn)

Expectation:

• Be willing and able to commit 3-4 hours per month to mentor a young future professional.

• Able to engage on a fully virtual mentorship relationship.

• Willing to provide feedback on the performance of mentee to program management on request.

• Be ready to engage with us for a duration of 2 years (2 cohorts).

• Be willing to support your mentee’s professional developing as per the mentorship framework.

• Support the program coordination team in improving quality of mentorship program.

• Be open to cross cultural immersion and to mentor someone from a different nationality or your country of residence.
