Marian Apparitions
A Marian Apparition is a reported supernatural appearance by Mary, the Mother of Jesus, or a series of appearances over time like Our Lady of Pontmain, Our Lady of The Miraculous Medal, and Our Lady of Happy Meetings.
1664: Mary Reconciler and refuge of sinners
Mary was a refuge of sinners from the very beginning. We can easily believe that it was her prayers that obtained the conversation of the good thief. St Bernard calls her " the ladder of sinners" the ladder by which he mounted to his cross. We are also thieves who have robbed God of his glory, but there is the same hope for us in her maternal love.
1830: The Miraculous Medal and Paris in Flames
The front of the medal represents Mary standing on the earth and her foot crushing the head of a serpent, and her hands out stretched to all who asked for her assistance. There is a large M that is overcome by a cross. Underneath that there are two hearts, from Mary and from Jesus. One of the hearts has a crown of thorns on it and the other is pierced with a sword.

1846: Our Lady of La Salette
In 1846, the people of the small town of Corps, located in the French Alps, had forgotten God. Our Lady of La Salette appeared to two peasant children Melanie and Maximin, sharing a warning message of the importance of Sunday observance and respecting the name of the Lord. She told the young children to share that message with the world.
The child wasn't told the message that the other one was told. Maximin's message to the world was spoken of the loss of faith in France, the Church moving into darkness, and the rise of the Anti-Christ. Melanie's message to the world included the loss of faith in Rome and coming persecution of the Pope, priests, and religion.
1858: Lourdes
St. Bernadette was born in Lourdes, France. As a child gathering firewood, the Blessed Mother appeared to her seventeen times. Bernadette was urged to pray for sinners and to build a chapel on site. Bernadette dug into the mud and a spring developed. Many healings has been attributed to the water.
Our Lady of Lourdes Prayer
O Ever Immaculate Virgin, Mother of Mercy, Health of the Sick, Refuge of Sinners, Comfortress of the Afflicted, you know my wants, my troubles, my suffering; deign to cast upon me a look of Mercy. By appearing in the grotto of Lourdes you were pleased to make it a privileged sanctuary from where you dispense your favors, where many sufferers have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and corporal: I come, therefore, with unbounded confidence to implore your maternal intercession. Obtain, O loving Mother, my requests. I will endeavor to imitate your virtues, that I may one day hare your glory and bless your eternity.
