Hello, Mabuhay!
Welcome to my travel and teaching journal! This blog serves as a space for reflection and education during my month-long experience as a pre-service teacher in Capiz, Philippines.
Why "A Journey"?
This title represents more than just a flight from Surabaya to Capiz. It symbolizes a bridge between two cultures and two educational systems. This journey has opened my eyes to the beauty of Southeast Asian education and the incredible warmth of Filipino hospitality. Here, I will share my stories—from the classroom dynamics at Mambusao National High School to the life lessons found within the corners of the CAPSU campus.
Join me as I navigate this unforgettable journey!
About Me
Hello! I am Gloria, an English Education student from Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa), Indonesia. Currently, I am embarking on a meaningful adventure as an international pre-service teacher through the SEA Teacher Program Batch 11.
During this program, I have the privilege of being hosted by Capiz State University (CAPSU) - Burias Campus in the Philippines and conducting my teaching practicum at Mambusao National High School. For me, teaching is more than just a profession; it is a continuous path of learning. Through this platform, I aim to document every step, challenge, and cultural beauty I encounter along this transformative journey.
