6th Grade Reading

This Week 9/21 - 9/25
We are beginning Ghost by Jason Reynolds. This week, students will read Chapter's 3 and practice annotating important details about characters, conflict, setting, and emerging themes.
Homework & Due Dates

Students should have gotten their own copy of Ghost Thursday, September 10th, 2026. This week we will finish any Ghost Chapters 3 reading or annotations not completed during class. Review your annotations and class notes. 

Students should have been given vocabulary packets and will need to study daily on their own for their test on the 28th.

Students will need to complete the first page front and back of their socratic seminar packets by next Tuesday 9/29.
Coming Up

Next Week, students will participate in their first Socratic Seminar on Ghost. Students should come prepared with their book, annotations, evidence from the text and the first page of their packet filled out.
