Redcliff Scholarship

The Redcliff Scholarships for Advanced Education, the Frank King Memorial Scholarship and the new "David Jon Thomson Scholarship" provide a total of four $5,000 scholarships to applicants who have been residents of Redcliff for at least the full year of Grade 12.  Awards are for tuition at a university, college or technical institute.  Criteria include a preference for first year post-secondary students, financial need, leadership and academic merit.  

Payment of the scholarships are governed as follows:   

• The $5,000.00 scholarship will be applied to the student’s tuition with two equal payments of $2,500.00 being sent directly to the post-secondary institution in mid-August and mid-December.

• Funds are administered by Prairie Rose School Division. 

• A scholarship award will be available for 18 months from the date of the award.

The application deadline is end of May and award recipients are selected by an independent committee of educators and community members. 

The scholarships are possible thanks to two endowed funds established and sustained by Redcliff organizations as well as current and past Redcliff citizens and two memorial funds established by friends and family of Mr. Frank King and Mr. David Thomson.
