Students learn a wide variety of “hands-on” skills. Much class work is performed in the MHHS Agricultural Mechanics Lab. Units of study include Introduction to Agriculture Mechanics; Project Planning; Working With Portable Power Tools; Painting; Metalworking; Machinery Safety; Tool Fitting; Stick Welding; Oxy-acetylene Torch Work; Wire Feed Welding; Working With Electricity; Plumbing; Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems; Using Concrete and Masonry; Rope Work; and Agricultural Structures.
