Accessing reliable resources
The reliable resources mentioned in Step 2 can be found through ClassLink. Click on NCEd Cloud to access Britannica and Explora (via EBSCO). The video below shows how to access Britannica, Explora, and a few other resources that used to be on NC WiseOwl.
Search terms
Also in Step 3, we need to think about what search terms to use to find information. Consider using synonyms of your topic. Be sure to type in a word or short phrase, not a full question. If your search term isn't working, you may want to think of a more general term.
Use text features
Locating information in a website or book may involve using text features such as a table of contents, index, headings, etc.
