This year, students will record a formal 10-15 minute presentation to submit to their teacher, and present their product in a Gateway Fair conducted during their English IV block in the final week of the semester.

ATTIRE EXPECTATIONS
The Capstone Project Presentation is a large part of the senior’s English grade. The panels of judges who will evaluate presentations are community members, business leaders, teachers, and other school personnel. Thus, the student must create a professional, neat appearance to make the best impression on the panel. First impressions are made in three seconds after an introduction; create a positive appearance to enhance the presentation grade!
Clothes must be clean, neat, and unwrinkled.
Hair should be neat and well groomed.
Good personal hygiene should be evident.
Do not overdo jewelry and accessories.
No gum or drinks!
Men: dress pants, shirt, tie, dress shoes. Jacket optional.
Women: dresses, suits, skirts, jumpers, dressy pant suits, turtlenecks, blouses, dressy sweaters, and jackets are acceptable. Dress shoes should be worn. SKIRTS/DRESSES MUST BE NO MORE THAN TWO INCHES ABOVE THE KNEE. AVOID LOW CUT TOPS! DRESS CODE MUST BE FOLLOWED!
UNACCEPTABLE:
Jeans or any denim
Sundresses
Tight fitting sweaters or tops
See-through garments
Clogs, casual shoes, or sneakers
Capri pants
Work boots
Tops that reveal cleavage
Anything forbidden in school dress code
