The Capstone Project Presentation is a large part of the senior’s English grade. The panels of judges who will evaluate presentations are community members, business leaders, teachers, and other school personnel. Thus, the student must create a professional, neat appearance to make the best impression on the panel. First impressions are made in three seconds after an introduction; create a positive appearance to enhance the presentation grade!

• Clothes must be clean, neat, and unwrinkled.

• Hair should be neat and well groomed.

• Good personal hygiene should be evident.

• Do not overdo jewelry and accessories.

• No gum or drinks!

• Men: dress pants, shirt, tie, dress shoes. Jacket optional.

• Women: dresses, suits, skirts, jumpers, dressy pant suits, turtlenecks, blouses, dressy sweaters, and jackets are acceptable. Dress shoes should be worn. SKIRTS/DRESSES MUST BE NO MORE THAN TWO INCHES ABOVE THE KNEE. AVOID LOW CUT TOPS! DRESS CODE MUST BE FOLLOWED!

UNACCEPTABLE:

• Jeans or any denim

• Sundresses

• Tight fitting sweaters or tops

• See-through garments

• Clogs, casual shoes, or sneakers

• Capri pants

• Work boots

• Tops that reveal cleavage

• Anything forbidden in school dress code
