Each student writes a letter of intent which outlines their potential plans for the Gateway Project. In the letter of intent, students must do the following:

1. Introduce a topic and explain both why the topic is of interest AND how it is a learning stretch.

2. Explain what will be researched related to the topic. They will also share ideas for who (or how) to contact someone who can speak with them about their topic in an interview.

3. Propose a potential product that the student will create which shows what they have learned through the research process.

4. Identify what plagiarism is and the consequences for plagiarism during any part of this project.
