More and more families across the area are discovering lacrosse and finding their way to the MG Lax Osprey. We’re glad you’re here! You’re in the right place.
Though our inaugural Spring 2026 season is wrapping up, we're gathering interest for our next season.
SEASON OVERVIEW
Timing:
Mid-March through first week of June
Practices:
2-3 evenings per week, in Monona and/ or Cottage Grove
Games:
Typically 2 per weekend (on one day), plus 2-3 tournaments
Exact schedules will be shared once teams are finalized.
AGES/ TEAMS
1st/2nd Grade (8U - boys/ coed)
3rd/4th Grade (10U - boys/ coed)
5/6th Grade (12U - boys/ coed)
7th/8th Grade (14U - boys/ coed)
Teams will be set according to USA Lacrosse age grouping and adjusted as needed based on registration numbers.
NOTE: We welcome both boys and girls on our teams, but are not able to offer Girls lacrosse (limited contact) yet - we hope to as our club grows!
REGISTRATION FEES
Fees help cover league dues, field costs, coaching support, equipment, and administration.

MG Lax shooting shirt
Field rental and club equipment
Practice planning and coaching support
Not included:
USA Lacrosse membership (required)
Jerseys (can be reused after initial purchase)
Personal equipment (helmet, stick, pads)

OTHER COSTS
All players are required to have a USA Lacrosse membership which is a separate fee paid to USA Lacrosse.

Lacrosse stick
Helmet
Shoulder pads (MUST be NOCSAE certified)
Elbow pads
Gloves
Cup (boys only)

If your family is new to lacrosse and needs help affording or sourcing equipment, let us know. We will do our best to help and/ or point you in the right direction.
