MG Lax was launched in the Spring 2026 youth lacrosse season, for boys and girls in the Monona Grove community and surrounding area.
Our goal is simple: give local kids a high-quality, hometown place to learn, compete, and grow together.
More than just a team.
Osprey Youth Lacrosse was founded to create more opportunities for athletes and families on Madison’s east side while building a culture that values more than wins and losses.
We believe youth sports should develop confident athletes, resilient teammates, and strong people.
Our coaches emphasize:
skill development and fundamentals
effort and competitiveness
respect for teammates, opponents, officials, and the game
creating an environment where athletes can improve and enjoy the experience
Open to all.
While we're based out of the Monona Grove region, we welcome any players from around the area, including:
Monona
Cottage Grove
McFarland
East Madison
...and surrounding communities
No prior lacrosse experience is required.
We know lacrosse can feel intimidating for new families. That’s why we focus on teaching the game in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment while still helping experienced players continue to grow.
Built for long-term growth.
Our next full spring season will begin in March 2027.
Between now and then, we may offer occasional:
Try Lacrosse events
introductory clinics
pickup opportunities
community events and program updates
Joining our interest list is the best way to stay informed as those opportunities become available.
Join something special!
Our inaugural season proved something important: there’s real excitement for lacrosse in this community.
We’re just getting started.
Join the interest list to stay connected as Osprey continues to grow heading into Spring 2027.
MG Lax is committed to making lacrosse accessible to all kids in our community, and will do our best to make financial assistance available. Reach out for more information to info@mglax.org.
Fly High. Strike True. All In. Game On.
