Reflection and
Feedback
Coaching Meetings include Reflection and feedback
Reflection:
The coach and the coachee reflect on the observation, the changes the coachee is making in her practice and how the children or families are responding. Reflection should take place first, providing the coachee the time and space to consider how the changes they are making are going.
Feedback:
After reflecting, the coach will share feedback based on the focused observation. Together, the coach and coachee identify progress toward the action plan goal and make decisions about next steps.
Reflection and feedback allow the coach and coachee to identify progress toward the action plan goal based on the focused observation. Learn the benefits of reflection for a coach and teacher. Find out about the two types of feedback coaches offer to support education staff as they learn to implement teaching practices.
