At Horn High School, our primary role as counselors is to provide a "wrap around" comprehensive counseling program while working with students, parents and teachers to promote academic and emotional growth. The counselors help students navigate their graduation plans and future plans to improve student outcomes while also upholding ethical and professional standards.
John Horn High School Counselors serve as members of the campus leadership team. We give input in campus decisions regarding CCMR numbers, planning for student outcomes/successes, and coordinating and facilitating communication among teachers, students, and parents. We are members of the emergency response team, we collaborate on the master schedule, and we advocate for our students in attendance meetings, ARDs, 504 meetings, and when conflict arises. We do our best to pave the road to success for all students academically and emotionally.
