Welcome - FSA Staff

Sara Hocamp is the Full STEAM Ahead Expanded Learning Specialist. She has also been teaching at Mesa Union for 11 years. She has taught 4th and 5th grade, reading intervention, and learning support. Additionally, she was also a Summer School Lead Teacher and ELPAC (English Language Proficiency Assessments for California) Coordinator. Outside of school, Sara enjoys camping, singing, watching movies and TV shows, cooking, hanging out with her friends/family, traveling, playing sports, and likes nature. Sara plans to go back to college to receive her Master's Degree in STEAM or ELL.

Samanta Gonzalez is the Junior High STEAM Leader in FSA. She attended Santa Paula High School and wants to go back to college to receive a Master's Degree in School Counseling. Outside of school, she loves to work out and go on hikes to watch the sunset.

Tessa Sullivan is the 2nd/3rd STEAM Leader. Tessa has a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University Hawaii. Outside of work, Tessa likes to crochet, watch movies, and spend time with family. She also enjoys watching Lord of the Rings and playing games such as board games, cards and Dungeons and Dragons.

Mayra Armenta is the 4th/5th grade STEAM Leader. This is Mayras 1st year working at Mesa, but she has worked with kids from all ages for 8 years. When she is not at work she likes spending time with her family. She also likes learning how to diy things. Mayra enjoys the beach, watching movies, and baking. She loves to see smiles on kids when they've learned something new or excited about learning something new.

Audra Hampton is the Kindergarten/1st grade STEAM Leader. Audra has been a Mesa parent and part of the Mesa family for 10 years. She has been part of STEAM for 2 years. Some hobbies she enjoys are painting, drawing and doing any kind of art, gardening, house plants, cooking/baking. Outside of work she likes spending time with her husband, two kids and her dog.
