Student Clubs and Organizations are an important part of your experience as a student of Mesa Community College. Students who get involved during college are generally more successful than those who don't, and they also report having a much more rewarding experience and feel a sense of belonging at their college.
***MCC student clubs and organizations are not restricted to participants on any protected basis, including sex or gender. All individuals are encouraged to participate. This applies to all protected groups including race, color, national origin, sex, disability, and age.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
PIXEL FORGE is MCC's Video Game Development Club, established to address the resource gap for students pursuing degrees and careers in the game industry. Since its inception in Fall 2023, our club welcomes all MCC students - regardless of major or skill level - who wish to participate in game development.
[MYTH] "Game Development requires programming."
FALSE! There are various teams dedicated to Game Development with different skillsets, such as a Narrative/Writing team, an Art team, and a Music/Sound team. Additionally, people are needed to fulfil Production, Design, and Marketing roles to see a game to completion. If you have, or wish to develop, any of these skillsets, please feel free to join us!
Our key focus is on collaborative game development projects, encouraging a supportive atmosphere for skill growth and the exchange of ideas and resources. We also welcome those who wish to work on independent projects, and those who simply wish to surround themselves with like-minded individuals!
GAME DEVELOPMENT AND PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED, BUT VALUED!
