Routinely checks pulmonary patients' heart rate, oxygen saturation, Borg scale, and blood pressure before, during, and after exercise treatments
Prepares patient care spaces and equipment for treatment intervention
Cleans and set up all treatment areas and equipment as necessary before and after care. Sanitize and maintains equipment as appropriate. Follows maintenance schedule and obtains necessary repairs services and authorizations for equipment repair as necessary
Maintains daily temperatures logs of appropriate equipment to assure that they remain within the approved range (Hydrocollator, Paraffin, Therapy Pool Notifies engineering, Biomed, pool maintenance contractors) as necessary for equipment and pool maintenance
Routinely checks inventory of clinical supplies for the department and is responsible for ordering supplies and equipment as needed
Conducts daily chemical testing of therapeutic pool and maintains daily logs
Communicates with contracted pool maintenance company and makes adjustments as necessary. Stocks delivered departmental supplies and provides the Manager/Supervisor with the accompanying invoices, and billing. Orders and stocks linens on a daily basis. Assures par levels are appropriate to accommodate for fluctuating patient care needs
Aids Clinical Staff with delegated direct patient care activities including therapeutic exercise, return to play exercises, and occasional aquatherapy
Support staff by preparing and filing charts as necessary and other minor office duties. Includes working at the front desk to check in patients and book future appointments
