Lesson plan for April 19-22

1/ This week's story is Շուշանը։ However, We will read in class Լորիին եւ Նարեկին Անմոռուկը։ This story is dedicated to the Armenian Genocide. The symbol of Anmoroug will be discussed and an artwork will be completed.

2/WB pages 166, 167, 168 and 170 will be completed.

3/ Spelling quiz on Thursday on the following words: Ֆրանսա, Ամերիկա, Գանատա, Լիբանան, Հայաստան, Պարսկաստան, Ռուսիա, իտալիա։

2/ Reading assessment on Շուշան will be on Friday. The students will be tested on vocabulary as well. The student should be able to complete the WB p. 167 and 168 and receive a grade.

Lesson Plan for April 4-7

1/ This week's story will be the continuation of last week's story Ծննդավայրս։

2/ They will be explained the difference between motherland and birthplace. They will do an artwork based on these concept.

3/ No spelling quiz this week. The reading assessment is on Thursday.

4/ WB pages 154, 155,159, 160 will be completed.

1/ This week's story if the part 1 of Ծննդավայր։ Since the story is about animals, we will do artwork with animals. The students will learn to draw different animals.

2/They will complete an artwork designing their kite after they watch video clips on kites.

1/ This week's story is Անխելք Մարդը։ Since Feb. 19 is the birthday of our most famous writer, Hovhanness Toumanian, we will have a mini-celebration week dedicated to him. The students will listen to his stories, watch videos about him, and do the artwork.

2/ WB pages 109, 110, 111, 112, 115 will be completed. The theme is Vartanantz. Therefore we will discuss about Vartan Mamikonian and the Battle of Vartanantz.

3/ The spelling quiz is on Thursday on the following words: պատերազմ, զինուոր, քրիստոնեայ, կեանք, թշնամի, ազատութիւն, ապրիլ, աղօթել։

4/Reading assessment on Friday. Students are required to read fluently at least 1 page from the week's story.

1/ This week's story is about fables. Առակներ։ They will read the 4 fables in their textbook. However, they will also watch fable stories on Pokrig, and hear about fables outside their textbook.
