Disability Services
Service and Support Administrator
A Service and Support Administrator (SSA) is the primary point of service coordination for individuals with developmental disabilties. An individual must meet eligibility requirements for County Board of DD services. A Service and Support Administrator provide service coordination, assistance to navigate the IEP process, assistance for advocating for a child's needs in all life areas and support for the family to negotiate the new world of having a child with a disability. Special Olympics
The Mercer County Special Olympics includes bowling, basketball, powerlifting and a cheer team. Individuals must be eligible for DD services. For more information, contact:

Peer Support Program
The peer support program offers a variety of opportunities for socialization with friends. Whether it be through an art class, nature walk, game night and much more. Peer support is about coming together to support each other and discover new and enjoyable experiences. Individuals must be eligible for DD services. For more information, contact:

Transition Services
For youth ages of 14-17, the Transition program provides a summer career exploration program. For young adults 18-22, the Transition program offers summer work experiences. Along with transition planning, we offer monthly learning opportunities for our families and young adults with our School to Adult Life Transition (S.A.L.T.) and S.A.L.T. TEENS sessions. Mercer County Challenger Baseball
A place where all feel included no matter their disability. Young and old get to play America’s favorite past time, baseball, in their communities they are so proud to be a part of. Where everyone feels abled, part of a team and welcomed. Games are played on Sundays during the summer months. All ages are welcome. For more information, please contact:

The Arc of Mercer County
The Arc of Mercer County is a non-profit human rights organization of family members and friends committed to improving opportunities for individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities.
