Parent Information

In addition to all of the other information and resources provided on this web site, I will try to add new information that becomes available regarding school-age students under this link.

Cold versus Flu

Cold symptoms usually last for about a week. Most Flu symptoms gradually improve over two to five days, but it's not uncommon to feel run down for a week or more.

Cold and Flu viruses enter your body through the mucous membranes of the nose, eyes, or mouth. Every time you touch your hand to one of these areas, you could be infecting yourself with a virus, which makes it very important to keep hands germ-free with frequent washing to prevent both flu and cold symptoms.

Complications of a Cold may include Sinus congestion, or Middle ear infection. Complications of the Flu may include Sinusitis, Bronchitis, Ear infection, or Pneumonia.
