Hello, my name is Nate Gerber…and yes…I speak gibberish.
You’re definitely puzzled why I speak gibberish, or even how I speak gibberish. Well, let me tell you that this was not the first title that was thought of. I mulled over “Gerber’s Grumblings,” but after consideration I determined to go a different direction. I pondered “Gerber’s Greetings,” but after some sensible counsel I wandered from that. Finally, the idea of “Gerber’s Gibberish” was brought to my attention. I believed that it was the perfect scheme. As I thought about it more, I asked myself, “What happens when I get excited about something?” Well, I usually talk faster and a little louder, and guess what I get in return from the opposing party hearing it all? …”HUH?”...
That’s right! I speak gibberish! It all comes out muddled and inaudible to the listener. Then again…I used to have a speech impediment.
Now, you’re probably wondering, “Why don’t I ever hear this ‘gibberish’ whenever I talk to you?” The simple answer is: I’ve learned to control it. I don’t always jump up and down when I get excited anymore. However, I’ve recently been desiring to share my “gibberish” with the world in hopes of sparking that exciteful flame once again.
So, what is “Gerber’s Gibberish?” My gibberish is certain things that I get excited about. These can be quotes from books that I read, quotes from a class I am taking (used with permission of course), concepts I collected from my daily time in God’s Word, and maybe some random thoughts that pop into my head throughout my day.
Will you join me in this adventure of mapping through my “gibberish?”
