Hello! My name is Tessa Vartanian, and I am currently in my second year of teaching, both of which have been spent in the 5th-grade classroom. While this is my first official year, my journey began last school year as an intern teacher and before that as a substitute teacher, where I gained valuable experience through various roles, including long-term assignments.
Teaching has always been a calling for me. Growing up in the foster care and adoption system, I was fortunate to encounter teachers who made a significant impact on my life. Their kindness, support, and belief in me shaped my path and instilled in me a deep desire to provide that same encouragement for future generations. From a young age, I knew I wanted to be the kind of teacher who not only educates but also inspires and supports students in reaching their full potential.
I feel incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to do what I love every day: guide, challenge, and celebrate the amazing students who walk into my classroom. My goal is to foster a safe, welcoming environment where students feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow both academically and personally. I look forward to many more years of learning and growing alongside my students.
