The intensive 5-day workshop included:
1. The workshop focused on outdoor group work in Štramberk. Participants worked all week in mixed international teams. They collected geological, natural, and other exciting data via Google My Maps online platform, GPS device, and pre-prepared nature trail routes with different settings according to the particular international groups. They walked a 6km path through the unique biological and geological localities. After that, they processed the obtained data and their visualization, created maps of areas containing geodata, and finally made presentations of the received data. They used a range of data collection and reporting tools, such as:
a) mobile phones photo apps with GPS modules for recording the time and position of taken photographs,
b) Google My Map web presentation of the token photographs together with information background,
c) Zoner Photo Studio 15 for processing photos and collected data,
d) Python and Jupyter Notebook (using data libraries Pandas, NumPy, and Pillow) for data management.
2. One-day workshop led by professionals from the company ATS aplikované technické systémy s. r. o. (industry automation and manufacturing engineering systems - ats-global.com). This unique workshop took the form of collecting accurate production data on a simulated industrial line (production of paper packaging). Main tasks, skills, and activities that were carried on/improved:
a) teamwork,
b) communication within the team,
c) production process analysis based on collected data,
d) strategic planning,
e) simulation of the industrial production line,
f) strategical decisions based on production outcomes, team members' skills, and communication,
g) using the cutting-edge industrial platform for simulation, production, and analysis.
This student workshop was led by teachers and students from the Czech Republic from Monday, 27th February 2023, to Friday, 3rd March 2023. The program ran from Monday to Thursday from 8:00-8:45 to 14:00-16:00; on Friday, there were the students' work presentations. The workshop participants were 5 pupils from each partner school (6 from AT) and 2 accompanying persons (3 from FR). There are several results and outputs:
1. Short videos about the preparation for the training activity shot by participants from each partner school.
2. Web presentation with photos, descriptions of the photos, and Google My Map tracking (unique for every group).
3. Storing data in the project database map.
4. An accurate simulation of how the production line works with the outputs in Ignition, software for unlimited digital transformation.
