Do you need proof of your English Proficiency? Most likely - YES!
You will need to provide proof of your English proficiency when applying to study at universities around the world. Even if you hold a passport from an 'English Speaking Nation', experiencing your education in another country can cause some of the universities you are applying to to request these results. It's just safer to have it as part of your credentials when starting the application process.
Notes:
Most nations accept both IELTS and TOEFL
Turkish universities are only allowed to accept TOELF at this time
DUOLINGO is widely accepted in the US and is expanding its territory abroad steadily.
Regardless of which test you choose, be sure to
become very familiar with the format of the test well in advance
