No worries! It's totally normal to be exploring ALL your interests at the same time - it's what your brains are wired to do.
Although you've begun the last half of your high school journey and may have a general idea of where your path may take you, you might find that you need to refine your plans. These assessments might assist you in better narrowing your focus. Even if you completed these surveys last year, the world is different than it was then, so completing them again might help you in your process.
If you have never completed these, please do so now before getting too far into your Long List.
NARROW YOUR FOCUS by:
identifying the subjects/tasks/interests that make you happiest,
the challenges you've been successful in that bring you the most satisfaction
your natural strengths
a combination of some (or all) of the above
Complete the various Interest Inventories in the section below to start learning more about your likes and dislikes.
Although many of you have seen these before, we wanted to make them available for you here in case you wanted to complete them again if it has been a while since your last look at them. These results may better help you refine your university research.
1) Start these when you have some quiet undisturbed time to better focus on the task. These three surveys will take approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.
2) Take notes (or a screenshot) of your results - paying specific attention to:
What occupational theme/s best describes you?
For which careers are you best suited?
3) Reminder: Do NOT create an account to 'receive results', as you will be provided with the relevant information.
Enjoy!
Please complete them one after the other, leaving the tabs open, so you can record your answers in your University Prep Portfolio after you have completed them. Once you have completed them you should receive your responses by email.
