Meet the Teacher

Hello! My name is Maria Lemme and I can’t wait to make this year memorable, safe and full of learning! I promise to care for and love your children the same way I would my own.

I earned both my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and my master’s degree in Literacy from Niagara University.  This is my 6th year in Medina, but my 11th year teaching.  I have taught both 4th and 5th grade in the past. 

I live in Grand Island with my husband, Pasquale and four children, Pasquale (8), Leonardo (6), Mia (4), and Giuseppe (2). My commute to school is about 50-55 minutes, which stuns people at first. But once I explain how much I enjoy the peaceful drive and  how much I love my job, it doesn't sound as intimidating☺ 

We also have a chocolate lab named Penny and a bearded dragon named Chippy. I love spending quality time with my kids. As a family, we love to go out and get ice cream, find new playgrounds, play outside in our backyard and take family vacations as much as we can. In my free time, I enjoy baking, crafting, and yoga!
