A hospital-based emergency psychiatric service, ECMC’s CPEP (Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program) is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to treat patients of all ages. As one of the largest CPEP programs in New York State, it serves adults, children, and adolescents in crisis from an entire floor in the new Behavioral Health Outpatient Center.
ECMC offers individuals and families the most comprehensive alcohol and drug addiction rehab services available in Western New York, with inpatient and outpatient programs to support patients with their needed level of care. First Step Crisis Center - Niagara Falls
The First Step Center is a 24-bed residential facility that serves people with substance use disorders. Operating 24/7, The Center has seven medically supervised beds and 17 medically monitored beds. Under the direct supervision of nursing, medical and counselling staff, the program offers medical and non-medical detoxification in a sober environment where people may safely begin the recovery process. Individuals served by the First Step Center are not in need of hospitalization.
