This pathway is exclusively available to the alum of our own Maine College of Art & Design Post-Baccalaureate program in Art Education. Students in that former program completed 30 credit hours and nearly 600 hours in student teaching and teaching in alternative settings and workshops.
Students in our full MAT Graduate Program complete 36 credit hours and nearly 600 student teaching hours. After careful examination, we determined our Post-Bacc recipients need to complete two courses: MAT800 The Artist as Educator and MAT837 Advanced Action Research in Art Education. Both courses are offered multiple times during the year and available fully online.
