Philosophy

I believe that learning is essential to become the best version of one's self. A balance of developing the whole person includes educational, social-emotional, relational, and philosophical growth. In addition, all humans have an innate need to connect. It is knowledge, experience, and motivation that enable human connection. Without a growth mindset, self-awareness, and a community of support, many individuals are unable to reach short or long-term goals of achievement or connection. This journey of being a lifelong learner is exciting, challenging, and price-less.

My pursuit of professional skill sets will be driven by a high impact on educational equity in K-12 schools. 

• Personally: A commitment to making every day count. Being driven by goals, data-driven decision-making, and putting relationships as an essential motivator. Choosing intentional learning by pursuing advanced education, training, scholarly research, and building on new experiences. Celebration is essential in acknowledging growth, hard work, and small victories. Having a compass of faith to maintain integrity, empathy, grace, and passion. 

• Professionally: A commitment to self-evaluation and being driven by a continuous cycle of feedback and correction. Using tools to support accountability and consistency. Having specified long and short-term goals with action steps to align daily priorities. Intentional collaboration, multiple modes of clear communication, and collaborative problem-solving strategies to navigate challenges. A mindset that seeks to understand, advocates for relational repair, and maintains professional investments. Always researching and applying best practices in education and in a corporate setting.
