I have been professionally working in education for 15 years. My credentials are for Administrative Leadership, K-12 instruction, and coaching. This includes endorsements in Early Childhood Development, ELL, and Special Education, I have had the privilege to teach internationally and in 4 different states. As a Teach for America Alumni, equitable education remains at the forefront of all I do.
My passion is being a life-long learner and helping students and staff achieve academic excellence. I have extensively studied social-emotional and relational development in education with a focus on behavioral support. I enjoy professional development training for staff and have over 1,200 professional clock hours myself.
I have a Master's Degree in School Leadership and Administration and hold a Washington State Principal License. I have chosen to use my experience to build new educational programs and build equity for a variety of communities. I have had the privilege of founding 3 new programs. My experience has allowed me to work in traditional Public Schools, Charter Networks, and learning options that support Homeschooling Networks. I am excited to continue growing and build a professional portfolio of leadership opportunities to be a change-agent for education from the top down.
I was born in Beaumont, TX, and moved to Washington when I was 2. I grew up in public schools and am passionate about changing the world.
As a young adult, I backpacked in Canada, taught in Kampala, Uganda, and traveled the nation.
Now, my daughter, Kinley, is a third-grader in Spokane Public Schools and my son, Canon, just turned one.
My husband owns his own landscaping company and I couldn't be more proud of his determination and hard work.
We love to spend time together, camp in the backyard, walk our dogs, watch movies, play Uno, and swim in our pool.
I love reading new books!
It's more like a little coffee with my creamer and almond flavor! I love everything about it.
It makes me giggle.
