U.S. Naval Ordnance Plant
South Charleston, West Virginia
THANK YOU, SOUTH CHARLESTON!
We had an incredible time sharing
the Century Strong exhibit with you.
Most of the exhibit items will now be stored at the South Charleston Interpretive Center at 313 D Street (see bottom of page for hours and contact information). We'll be working to improve our permanent Naval Ordnance Plant display, and you'll be seeing many of these prints in rotating exhibits in months to come!
We're continuing to expand NavalOrdnancePlant.org as a digital archive to continue building the legacy of one of America's greatest military and industrial landmarks.
The Interpretive Center has partnered with the South Charleston Public Library to bring you more ways to learn about the history surrounding the Naval Ordnance Plant!
See more about the NOP's history in the Clio entry!
Better yet, take the Interpretive Center's digital tour of Historic South Charleston!
The Clio Foundation is a nonprofit, free to use platform that gives organizations like the Interpretive Center a place to put their history on display in an interactive digital space. Thanks to Clio, we can create or access multiple tours that help tell the history of West Virginia's Midland Trail. For more of our tours, see the "About Us" page.
