FAQ's

Communication

  1. I emailed you but have not heard back yet.

    1. Please allow 24 hours for a response to emails. I do try to get back to families as soon as possible, but some days are busier than others. If an email was received after 3:30 p.m. it will be responded to within 24 hours after being received the next school day.

  2. How can I know what assignments my child has to do/is missing?

    1. Please see Google Classroom for all work that has been assigned. Here you will find instructions, attachments, as well as due dates.

    2. Check Homelink for assignments that have been graded. I update Homelink at least twice a week.

    3. Any assignment that has been graded will be listed there. You will be able to see a current score for your child’s performance on that assignment.

  3. When can we meet to discuss my child's grades?

    1. I have office hours at the following times:

      1. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 2:15-3:00

      2. Wednesday: 1:15-2:15

    2. I like to reserve this time to assist students in their work. If you need to meet with me, please email me to set up an appointment so I can notify students that I will not be available. If these times do not work with your schedule, please email me and let me know what days/times work best for you.

Attendance

  1. Does my child need to attend class sessions?

    1. YES! Attending online class is considered the same as having her/him present at school. Students are expected to be on time and stay the length of the class period. Attendance will be taken for each class period and reported just as it was when we were in person.

  2. What do I do if my child is absent?

    1. Have your child check into Google Classroom to see the assignments given that day.

    2. If a video lesson is linked in the “Daily Agenda” post, your child should watch this video to make up what was missed during his/her absence.

    3. Please contact me if there is anything I can do to support your child regarding her/his absence.
