If a student plagarizes, they will receive a zero on every standard for the assignment. In my experience, nerves, anxiety, and imposter syndrome contribute to the impulse to cheat. If you need support just ask me for an extension a few days in advance. I will very likely give it to you! If plagiarism is a repeated offense, further action will be taken.
When and if a student anticipates that a Body of Evidence assignment will not be turned in on time, they will set up a meeting with the teacher to discuss a reasonable work completion expectation, which should be within two weeks of the original due date. It is the student's responsibility to communicate this information to all stakeholders (e.g. parents, case managers, ed techs, learning center teacher, etc.).
