San Francisco Bay Area Weather Channels
Many Ham radios come pre-programmed with all the U.S. National Weather Service VHF weather broadcast stations. If they are not in your radio, you should definitely put them in (receive-only, of course).
As given on their web site, "NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information directly from the nearest National Weather Service office. NWR broadcasts official Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
The stations also broadcast FCC Emergency Alert System messages.
Below is a table of the stations in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Below that is an area coverage map for station WNG655, located on Mt. Diablo. Similar maps for all stations are available on the web site.
