Cell Phone Policy

In a highly digital world, where one's entire life is interconnected in a variety of formats, I aim to disconnect you as much as possible for at least 40 minutes a day. Additionally, the workforce has become stricter against cell phone use during one's shifts, and have terminated employees for those infractions. In that spirit, I have instituted a strict cell phone and electronic device policy in my class. No cell phone or electronic device use of any kind will be allowed during class, unless authorized by the teacher. There will be an opportunity for students to safely store their devices in the classroom. If students opt to hold onto their devices and abuse the cell phone policy, written notice will be sent to administration as insubordination.
