Podcast prompts (if you would like to pursue a topic different from these, you must receive approval from Ms. Peelo):
Tell us a story about your school or community: about something that happened there — recently or in the past — that your audience should know about.
What is a moment in history that all students should learn about?
Show us both sides of a debate about an issue that's important to you.
What do you want to change about the world? What's a big change that you want to make in the future?
Explain something to us that kids understand and grown-ups don't.
You may choose between the following styles for your podcast: host on mic, interview, roundtable, narrative, and fiction.
You may work individually, with a partner, or in a group of three.
Podcast must be 3-12 minutes. NPR time limits are 3-8 minutes.
Due dates include:
First draft (recordings finished) due by September 20th (red)/23rd (white)
Final draft due by end of class September 26th/27th
