Review the Framing Information on the Video Production site and do the following:
With your iPad and a partner (sibling, pet, your adult, etc), film a few short clips that have good framing. Do all of the following:
Test your audio
Ask your subject to speak in complete sentences (if they forget to do this, remind them and ask them to repeat the answers that need more context)
Set camera lens at eye level with your subject
As you ask questions, make sure your eyes are at the same level as your subject's
Follow the rule of thirds when placing your subject in frame
Choose a shot that is mid range, medium close, or close
Make sure the subjects gaze goes across the long side of the frame
If you need ideas for questions to ask your subject, check out the great questions list on the Storytelling tab of your website!
Put the best clip(s) from your practice interview on your Google site and include a brief explanation of how you incorporated the guidelines (above) into your shot.
